The Cult – Sonic Temple (30th Anniversary 2×LP Reissue 2023)

Description

Reissued in 2019 for its 30th anniversary, Sonic Temple returns in a deluxe expanded 2×LP edition that celebrates one of The Cult’s most iconic and influential albums. Originally released in 1989, Sonic Temple marked the band’s full transformation into arena‑sized hard‑rock titans — blending gothic atmosphere, massive riffs, and stadium‑level production. This anniversary reissue expands the experience with a full LP of bonus tracks, mixes, and rarities, making it the most comprehensive vinyl edition of the album to date.

Side A and B deliver the classic album in all its glory: the towering opener “Sun King,” the fire‑charged anthem “Fire Woman,” the cinematic “Edie (Ciao Baby),” and the swaggering “Sweet Soul Sister.” The bonus LP adds deep cuts and alternate versions including “Soldier Blue,” “Wake Up Time for Freedom,” “Medicine Train,” and the fan‑favourite “Bleeding Heart Graffiti.” The set closes with rare mixes and acoustic versions such as “Fire Woman (NYC Rock Mix)” and “Edie (Ciao Baby) (Acoustic).”

A must‑have for Cult collectors, gothic‑rock fans, and anyone wanting the definitive expanded edition of one of the greatest hard‑rock albums of the late ’80s.
