Mercyful Fate – Melissa (2025 Reissue – Black & Yellow Marble Vinyl)

Description

Melissa (1983) remains one of the most influential heavy metal albums ever recorded — a sinister, theatrical, and musically ambitious debut that helped define the DNA of black metal, speed metal, and occult heavy metal. King Diamond’s unmistakable falsettos, the dual‑guitar attack of Hank Shermann and Michael Denner, and the album’s dark, ritualistic atmosphere make it a timeless cornerstone of extreme music.

The 2025 Thunderstorm Edition gives this landmark album a dramatic new presentation on black with yellow marble vinyl, echoing the album’s fiery, supernatural energy. Metal Blade’s Thunderstorm variants are known for their premium colour blends, sharp artwork reproduction, and strong collector demand — making this one of the most desirable modern pressings of Melissa.

Featuring iconic tracks such as:

• “Evil”

• “Curse of the Pharaohs”

• “Into the Coven”

• “Melissa”

This is essential metal history — reborn in a stunning storm‑themed colourway.
