Kreator – Renewal (2017 Reissue, Green Vinyl)

Description

Renewal marks one of the boldest pivots in Kreator’s career — a 1992 descent into industrial‑tinged thrash, atmospheric textures, and slower, brooding aggression. Recorded at Morrisound Studios during the band’s experimental phase, it blends harsh electronics with Mille Petrozza’s unmistakable vocal bite and a darker, introspective tone. This is also the final album to feature original bassist Rob Fioretti, closing out an era of the band’s classic lineup.

Why This Record Is in the Crimson Vinyl Collection

This is the Kreator album for collectors who appreciate evolution, risk‑taking, and the weirder corners of early ’90s metal. Renewal has become a cult favourite precisely because it broke the rules — industrial influences, atmospheric production, and a mood unlike anything else in their discography.

For Crimson Vinyl, it’s a perfect fit: historically important, sonically unique, and increasingly sought after as fans revisit Kreator’s transitional years. Whether you’re filling gaps in a Teutonic thrash run or chasing the band’s more experimental side, Renewal earns its place.
