Description
Immerse yourself in one of power metal’s defining studio works — Helloween’s The Time of the Oath. Originally released in 1996, this 12″ vinyl LP captures the band at a peak of melodic intensity and conceptual ambition, delivering relentless riffs, soaring vocals, and epic storytelling that helped shape European metal in the 1990s.
Recorded in 1995 at Chateau du Pape, Hamburg, and produced by long-time collaborator Tommy Hansen, this album blends high-energy anthems with emotional resonance — from the relentless opener “We Burn” to the title track’s dramatic, propulsive finale.
A true collector’s piece for fans of classic metal, this vinyl edition is perfect for listeners who value authentic analogue sound, commanding musicianship, and timeless songwriting that continues to resonate across generations.
Why this record is in the Crimson Vinyl collection
The Time of the Oath stands as a pivotal album that cemented Helloween’s legacy beyond cult status into the broader metal canon. This was the second album to feature Andi Deris on vocals, following the departure of Michael Kiske. And continued Helloween’s legacy. I was also fortunate enough to see Helloween with Andi live in Perth in support of the Dark Ride. Awesome!
