Description

Originally released in 1984, Wings of Tomorrow marks Europe’s leap from promising newcomers to fully‑formed melodic‑metal contenders. This CD reissue presents the album in its complete original form, capturing the band’s early blend of soaring vocals, sharp guitar work, and NWOBHM‑influenced energy.

The album opens with the powerful “Stormwind,” followed by the fan‑favourite “Scream of Anger,” one of Europe’s heaviest early tracks. Melodic staples like “Open Your Heart,” “Treated Bad Again,” and the title track “Wings of Tomorrow” showcase Joey Tempest’s developing songwriting voice and John Norum’s signature guitar tone. Instrumental highlight “Aphasia” puts Norum front and centre, while deeper cuts such as “Wasted Time,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Dreamer,” and “Dance the Night Away” round out one of the strongest melodic‑metal albums of the early ’80s.

A must‑have for Europe collectors, fans of early Scandinavian metal, and anyone building out the essential pre‑Final Countdown discography.
