Description
Orgasmatron (1986) marks one of Motörhead’s most distinctive eras — the only full‑length album featuring drummer Pete Gill, and the first with the dual‑guitar attack of Phil Campbell and Würzel. Produced by Bill Laswell, the record has a darker, heavier, almost industrial edge compared to the band’s earlier output.
This reissue mirrors the original release, complete with Joe Petagno’s iconic demonic locomotive artwork and a faithful reproduction of the sleeve and booklet. Many modern reissues (including the 2015 BMG pressing) use 180g vinyl and include a download card, keeping the experience premium while preserving the raw, snarling sound Motörhead intended.
Why Crimson Vinyl Stocked It
Because Orgasmatron is a turning‑point album — a comeback moment that re‑established Motörhead’s dominance after lineup changes and industry turbulence.
Collectors chase this one for its unique production, its cult‑favourite title track, and the unmistakable Petagno cover art. It’s a staple for any heavy‑rock vinyl shelf!
