Description
Private Music is Deftones entering a new creative phase — a focused, atmospheric, and emotionally charged album that blends their signature heaviness with psychedelic textures, dreamlike ambience, and razor‑sharp production.
Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who previously worked on Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan, the album marks a reunion with one of the band’s most trusted collaborators.
Across 11 tracks, Deftones explore themes of nature, transcendence, mental clarity, and the tension between serenity and chaos. Chino Moreno’s vocals shift between ethereal whispers and explosive catharsis, while Stephen Carpenter’s guitar work returns to a thicker, more groove‑driven foundation.
It’s widely regarded as one of their most cohesive and evolved records in years.
